Alongside our more standard offerings, Apex also offer a home specifically for Swifts and other Cavity Nesting Birds that fits seamlessly into existing brickwork without compromising the integrity or appearance of the building.
These easy-to-install Nest boxes are made of stainless steel and are ideal for Species that return to the same nesting site annually, and with their thin-walled nest chamber, they ensure ample space within a wall for the birds that choose to make it a home.

The Apex S-Brick 50 (50 mm Cavity)
There are two types of S-Brick for 50 mm Cavities. To provide birds with ample space, one version occupies 1.5 bricks and the 50 mm Cavity and often works for Timber Frame Buildings. The other occupies 2 brick lengths and works for where the bond does not have a half brick present.

The Apex S-Brick 100 (100 mm Cavity)
The Apex S Brick (100 mm Cavity) is very similar to its 50 mm counterpart, but occupies the space of just 1 brick and the 100 mm Cavity Behind. The brickslip also has the benefit of being secured with a fireproof sealant.

The Apex S-Rendered 50 (50mm Cavity)
The Apex S-Rendered 50 is similar to our S-Brick offerings, but in this instance, Expanded Metal is Riveted to the front to provide a surface that can be rendered. The entrance piece is manufactured from concrete to ensure Longevity.

The Apex S-Rendered 100 (100 mm Cavity)
The Apex S-rendered 100 is a carbon copy of the Apex S-Rendered 50 (Albeit with different dimensions), with expanded metal riveted to the front to allow it to be rendered. Again, the entrance is manufactured from concrete to ensure longevity.

The Apex Nocti Bat Brick
The Apex Nocti Bat Brick was introduced due to increased demand for an affordable, lighter-weight, integral bat-brick which has the capacity to be made in matching facing bricks. Constructed of thin galvanised steel and strongly riveted together, the inside is made of bat-friendly, untreated boards which are grooved to allow the bats to roost.
Bats access the cosy inner chamber by means of the entrance slit drilled in the front brick and then climb up a fibre-board (waterproof) ramp. Droppings will fall out of the roost and down the ramp, keeping the inner space clean.
The Apex Avi Duo Swift Brick
The Apex Avi Duo Swift Swift Brick has been developed in conjunction with conservation experts to provide a safe, spacious and habitable area for swifts. The design of the Avi Duo Swift Brick allows it to work with cavity walls of 100mm or 50mm, making it ideal for modern timber frame constructions. With a double-brick granular plastic front available in buff or antique red, the Avi Duo Swift brick can be installed either way round to provide left or right-hand entrances.
